Enhancing Mindfulness and Communication
What is mindfulness?
There are a multitude of definitions for Mindfulness. Alyssa defines this as “the practice of meeting the current moment with both curiosity and kindness, to notice and allow ALL that is present without judgement, while also deliberately offering compassion to all aspects of the experience.”
Drawing from the rich traditions of Vipassana / Insight meditation and the practices of lovingkindness and embodiment, Alyssa’s approach is rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience. Her work is designed to help individuals and groups connect, adapt, and thrive. With over a decade of experience in mindfulness practice, leadership education, and the performing arts, Alyssa creates offerings that are affirming, inclusive, and transformative. Sample topics include: Everyday Mindfulness, Fostering Mindfulness in the Digital World, and Working with Emotions.
What kinds of communication?
Alyssa’s education and experience is rooted in Leadership Development. That doesn’t mean she only works with those in formal leadership roles. She supports the learning and growth of leadership capacities for all, helping individuals excel in their current role and open future possibilities. This may include a focus on:
Presence: Expanding the toolbox of your presentation skills for working with groups, the media, or even challenging one-on-one conversations.
Adaptability: Finding confidence in new roles, problem-solving, and supporting change management.
